Easy Nursery Decoration
Here's How...
Nursery decoration does not have to be a chore; why not have fun while you create a gorgeous environment for your bundle of joy?
You have enough on your plate with the imminent arrival of the baby, so read the following tips to simplify your life and put your feet up just that bit sooner!
Go With What You Like
Don’t get hung up about what other mums and dads are doing. Just because Mrs Jones at number 32 has a stained glass mirror in the shape of the sun does not mean that you need to come up with a similar show of extravagance.
Just One Thing
A whole coordinated redesign might be your dream – then again it could be more hassle and expense than is worth it. The addition of just one feature, such as a nursery wall mural, can turn a drab, characterless space into a warm, inviting nursery in no time.
Plan Ahead
I remember how I avoided packing my hospital bag in the run up to both my children being born. That was how I expressed my nerves about giving birth. Fortunately I never had to rush in with no babygrows or nappies, but an early labour can happen to anyone. You don’t want to still be choosing a colour scheme in the last few weeks, because you might not have that luxury.
Boy Or Girl?
If you don’t know the baby’s sex, make life easier by choosing a gender-neutral decoration for baby scheme. The pink vs blue divide is so old-fashioned anyway.
Nip Sibling Rivalry In The Bud
If you already have an older child, they are likely to be extremely apprehensive about the imminent arrival, or be full of mixed feelings. Get them involved in the new baby room. For example, choose 2 nursery wall murals that you like and let them have the final say.
Even better, give their room a makeover – or buy them their own wall mural.
